Walking Dead S03E16 : Welcome to the Tombs
By Patrick Kevin Day
The third season finale of AMC's "The Walking Dead" airs Sunday, and based on what's already occurred this season, there's no sure way to predict the outcome.
Those who haven't been keeping up with the series should read no further, as spoilers abound.
Already this season, Lori (Sarah Wayne Callies), T-Dog (IronE Singleton) and Merle (Michael Rooker) are just three of the cast members who met untimely ends. And though more blood will surely be shed in the finale, there's only one pressing question: Will the Governor (David Morrissey) get what's coming to him?
Morrissey himself wouldn't say if he was returning to the show for its fourth season when The Times spoke with him early in March, but with his character, "The Walking Dead" has an amazing foil for its hero, Rick. With Shane (Jon Bernthal) dead and buried, it would be a shame to lose the much-celebrated Governor after just a single season. (Though the character eventually perished in the comic book series, creator Robert Kirkman went on to co-write two novels, "Rise of the Governor" and "The Road to Woodbury," that elaborated on the character's backstory. A third novel is expected to be released later this year.)
No matter what happens in the finale, the story will surely pick up in season four in a way that wasn't intended when the season ended. Third season showrunner Glen Mazzara left the series after a dispute with AMC about the direction of the series and writer Scott Gimple was picked to replace him.
Fans worried about a decline in quality should take heart, however, as Gimple wrote one of the more highly regarded episodes of season three, "Clear."
The season finale, titled "Welcome to the Tombs," was written by Mazzara and is his (unknowing) farewell to the series.

Walking Dead S03E15 : This Sorrowful Life
The Walking Dead season 3 Episode 15 Online This Sorrowful Life. Last weekend’s It was what we'd all been dreading: an Andrea episode. But the unlikable character showed a sharpness that made her tolerable. And then there were the pit zombies.
Last week S03E14 The cold opening flashback to Andrea and Michonne's past didn't really amount to much. We saw her baggage-carrying zombies again (a truly great special effect), but when Andrea pressed her for info on their origin, we learned she didn't want to talk about it. Or anything for that matter. Ever. Governor Philip Blake (if that even is his real name) was busy mobilising his troops and putting the finishing touches to his torture chamber. His array of tools including a dentist's pick and a speculum showed in no uncertain terms what a fine time he's planning to have with Michonne (and presumably the rest of the prison dwellers).
There is no warm welcome from any of the survivors, only suspicion and anger towards her chosen allegiances. Rick as she notices is perhaps the most changed as she says he has ‘become cold’. Understandably so Andrea, we haven’t all been burying our head in the sand!We got some much-needed quality time with Tyreese and Sasha as they earned their keep on guard duty. Tyreese isn't a good shot; most people aren't in real life. Andrea manages to get past them easily, pulling a knife on poor Tyreese after Rick waving a gun in his face a few episodes back, this is beginning to become a theme.

Google Drive goes down for some users; issue fixed
If you faced issues accessing Google Drive sometime back, blame it on a disruption that plagued the service. As per Google's Apps Status Dashboard, a significant number of users faced issues accessing Google Drive following a service disruption. In an update provided at 3/18/13 8:40 PM (PDT), Google wrote, "We're aware of a problem with Google Drive affecting a significant subset of users. The affected users are unable to access Google Drive. We will provide an update by 3/18/13 9:40 PM detailing when we expect to resolve the problem. Please note that this resolution time is an estimate and may change."
Power disruption affecting US-West Data Center (Irvine, CA) Posted (March 19th, 2013 at 3:01 pm PST) by andrea
We are currently experiencing power disruption in our US-West Data Center (Irvine, CA). Our system engineering and data center operations teams are looking into the cause. We will update this post as soon as we have more information. We apologize for the inconvenience this is causing.
Update March 19th 7:19pm:Our data center provider is also initiating emergency maintenance on the UPS system that caused the initial power outage. This maintenance is scheduled to be complete at 11:55pm pacific time. We don’t anticipate problems to stem from this, but are bracing for issues, should they pop up.
Update March 19th 6:30pm: As of now we have two network devices, that handle traffic internal to the data center, that are down. One main one, and one backup. Our vendor has said, that BOTH devices were fried during the power outage, and are suggesting we RMA BOTH of them. We are in the process of deploying a spare to that location and we estimate that will take 1-2 hours. We will continue to update as we get more information.

Walking Dead S03E13 : Rick prepares to negotiate with the Governor
The Governor (David Morrissey) in Sunday's episode of "The Walking Dead," S03E13 "Arrow on the Doorpost."
(Gene Page / AMC)
It’s been a strong run of episodes of late for “The Walking Dead” — last week’s installment, “Clear,” won plaudits for its smart character moments and the return of Morgan, the good-natured man played by Lennie James, who initially saved the life of Andrew Lincoln’s Rick Grimes way back in the series pilot.
Of course, a great deal has changed in the intervening time and the former friends found themselves navigating a tricky reunion. But Rick will have to face off against a very different kind of man in Sunday’s “Arrow on the Doorpost” when he sits down with the Governor (David Morrissey) to come up with a peace treaty that would enable the leaders to prevent any further deaths among their people.
“What’s important to understand in this character, he sees himself on a historical stage,” departing showrunner Glen Mazzara told Hero Complex of the Governor last year on the series’ Georgia set. “That’s really how we look at that character. David’s interested in that. Sometimes you try to cast someone, you might feel they’re not fully committed to playing a villain. He’s fully committed to playing a layered complex character.”
As the highly rated AMC zombie series heads toward its upcoming finale, you can expect the show’s writers to continue to ratchet up the level of tension.

Walking Dead S03E10 Live Stream
No surprise here, last weeks AMC's The Walking Dead Midseason Premiere Delivers 12.3 Million Viewers
Last Weeks, AMC's Midseason Premiere of The Walking Dead S03E09 returned with its largest audience ever in series history delivering 12.3 million viewers at the 9/8c premiere. The previous record was 10.9 million viewers from the Season 3 Premiere on Oct. 14, 2012. The episode is also the strongest telecast for a series in basic cable history for adults 18-49 with 7.7 million. These results shatter the hit series' previous record with an increase of +6% (A18-49) over the Oct. 14, 2012 Season 3 Premiere. The Walking Dead Season 3 series average for adults 18-49 delivers 6.8 million, outperforming other television series season averages including Modern Family, The Big Bang Theory, Two and A Half Men, and NCIS. In addition to the 9/8c premiere, the show encored at 11/10c, and 2AM/1c, delivering 16.6 million viewers for the night.
Following the 9/8c premiere of The Walking Dead, AMC premiered a new episode of Talking Dead at 10/9c. 4.1 million viewers tuned in to the live show. Hosted by Chris Hardwick, Talking Dead is a companion series to The Walking Dead and features Hardwick and fans, actors, producers and other TV enthusiasts discussing and dissecting that night's Dead premiere. The series expanded to a full hour for the final 8 episodes of Season 3.
"When you look at numbers like this, the first thing that comes to mind is how grateful we are to the fans of this show. They embrace The Walking Dead in a way that we wanted to believe was possible but we never take for granted," said Charlie Collier, AMC's president. "The cast and crew put everything they have into making this show. They're a phenomenally talented group who truly give their all. We congratulate everyone involved."
Hailed by Entertainment Weekly as "the greatest thriller ever produced for television," The Walking Dead has become a juggernaut on social media. The series currently has close to 15 million likes on Facebook and last night The Walking Dead was a top trend on Twitter for the night of the Midseason Premiere. Based on the comic book series written by Robert Kirkman, the Emmy Award-winning series tells the story of the months and years that follow the zombie apocalypse. It follows a group of survivors, led by police officer Rick Grimes, who travel in search of a safe and secure home.
